How does this photo represent the theme – Life is Better Together?A volunteer and student trainer, Brittany, and her pit bull, Sophie, were waiting to march in the 2014 St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown Colorado Springs to represent All Breed Rescue & Training, a local, non-profit dog rescue. As the parade participants patiently waited their turn to march, it was nearly an hour before the dogs and their owners could complete the parade. The whipping winds were brisk with temperatures reaching near freezing.
Due to the cold weather, Brittany was worried by the shivering and shaking that Sophie, her pit bull, was exhibiting. Knowing that she would be just as cold, Brittany took off her puffy, winter coat and placed it around Sophie to keep her as warm as she could while they waited eagerly to run into the crowds of cheering children and parade onlookers. Together, they will change minds and lift hearts.
Braving the cold weather, their dedication to educate and advocate is represented with this touching, “in the moment” shot showing that the “Power of Together” will warm any heart.
