Alfie was rescued from a upstate NY puppy mill. He was depressed and full of anxiety, but the great team of staff and volunteers at Bobbi and the Strays worked so hard to get him to enjoy life and be a happy dog! This shelter was nearly destroyed by Hurricane Sandy and was featured in two episodes of Katie Couric's talk show. Our wonderful founder Bobbi Giordano and Shelter Manager Elyse D'Agostino worked so hard with their great team to get us safely to the other side of disaster. My wife and I have volunteered at the shelter for over 2 years. We are blessed to be a part of their great team, to know such outstanding people , and to have Alfie as our family member.
