How does this photo represent the theme – Life is Better Together?
Roscoe our 10 year old yellow labrador was adopted by us from the Dodge County Humane Society,WI in 2010. Roscoe was surrendered to the shelter when his family could no longer take care of him. Emmett our 3 year old black labrador was adopted by us from the Watertown Humane Society, WI in 2012. Emmett was a stray, found wandering the streets of Watertown. These 2 dogs are not just loved by us, but beloved and we are so lucky to have them. The "power of together" includes myself and these two beloved dogs. Roscoe is the sweetest, most respectful, patient dog. He contantly puts up with his "younger brother" Emmett's playful "puppy" antics. Emmett lives for his ball and is my shadow and is always at my side, even as I write this. I feel these two dogs know they were rescued from the shelters they came from; they somehow know they were being given a second chance for a wonderful life. What they may not realize though, is that they rescued me too. The love you feel from these two dogs is strong. They teach me to slow down and enjoy the simple things in life. The bond between these two dogs and myself is a special and powerful.
