How does this photo represent the theme – Life is Better Together?I have been fostering Trigger for the Humane Society of Morrow County for the last year. He is the absolute sweetest, most well behaved pony I have ever known. He came to us from a severe neglect case- over ten years without proper hoof care, boarded into a stall that was waist deep in his manure with only a small peep hole that, on occasion, they shoved hay and water into. It has been a long year of recovery for Trigger but every day he gets stronger and walks a little better. Due to lack of proper hoof care for so long, his ankles have fused together so he will never be 100% again-- but although he is slow, he is happy to be free! He lives on two acres with two other ponies who can't imagine life without him now. In this picture my farrier, with the assistance of his dog Nan, are helping Trigger to recover with proper hoof care. Without everyone's help- the vigilant people who noticed Trigger trapped in the barn, the humane agents who investigated the situation, the people who donate so the Humane Society can continue working to save animals, his foster mommy (me!), the vet.... and as pictured, his wonderful farrier- Trigger would have never had his second chance at life. If this does not represent the "Power of Together" I don't know what does!
