Sammie/Sue has been in surgery and rehabilitation for the last two months. It is believed that due to birth defect Sammie/Sue is neither boy nor girl, but most likely male. He had surgery to reroute urine flow, but has not successfully recovered as yet. He snaps and snarls the first time he meets you (Sammie), but loves you the second time(Sue). Sammie has become an inspiration to everyone at the rescue and everyone loves him. He also had a deformed paw that needed corrective surgery.
