Sprite showed up on our doorstep when I needed her the most. It was on the morning that I was getting ready to take the first dog I had ever owned to the vet for the last time. Oreo was 15 1/2 and had been dealing with health problems for a while. It finally got bad enough that the vet could not help her feel better any longer so we made the difficult decision to end her suffering. While I was taking Oreo outside for the last time I looked up and Sprite was in our driveway! Sprite ran up to me and hugged me like I was her long lost best friend. I put her in one of our kennels so I could figure out what to do with her when I got back from the vet. For the next few weeks I did everything I could to find her former owners, but nobody was looking for her. So now she is my beautiful, goofy Border Collie.
