Teddy's story - this little man spent most of his life outdoors. Nearby neighbors would leave food for him when they could but he was left outside to brave any temperature - from extreme heat to the extreme cold! For such a little guy, this was quite the rough life. Finally, Teddy started to look so bad that a good samaritan took him from his home and brought him to the shelter. When he arrived at Senior Dog Haven and Hospice- he was severely malnourished, shaved down to the skin and had a horrible mouth infection. Teddy had 2 dental surgeries, but his mouth infection kept returning. We knew right away when it came back because Teddy stopped eating and stopped running to the door to greet us with a tail wag. Sometimes he could not even rise up from his dog bed. Our amazing supporters banded together to raise the $1300 needed for his last surgery. Teddy will go on to live a very happy life for several years to come because of the many people who came together to help him! Teddy is such a sweet dog who only wanted to love and be loved in return - and now he has that chance! This picture is after his last surgery when he finally got to return to his foster home!!! He truly represents "The Power of Together!!"
