How does this photo represent the theme – Life is Better Together?
Magellan and Mercator were rescued from the streets with their mother by The Cat Connection when they were one month old. My husband and I adopted them when they were 5 months old. This photo was taken on their first day in our house--they were too scared to leave that chair at first! They hung out together until they got to know us better.
They look like twins--it took us about a week to tell them apart! The one sleeping on his back is Mercator (we call him the crazy cat), and Magellan is sleeping on his belly (the more mature of the brothers in terms of personality). Magellan got his name because he was the first one brave enough to explore the house. Mercator is named after the map-maker who stayed home (the chair) and watched his brother explore, before venturing out.
The Cat Connection always asks people to adopt kittens in pairs, so they have a kitty friend to go with. We are so happy they have each other as buddies!
