How does this photo represent the theme – Life is Better Together?Over the course of six years our family has added 8 total rescue fur babies (5 pictured here). Tugger is from WV, Rocky from Chicago, Spot and Lucky from Philly and Eva from Montco. My dogs and cats are the original reason I started to volunteer in the rescue world. Their unconditional love inspired me to give back. They have been gracious enough to allow new dogs and cats into their pack and our home at random. In addition to our own pack, we have fostered over 40 animals along the way. Each rescue dog or cat has come from as far as North Carolina to as close as Philadelphia. Rescuing these animals would not be possible if all involved did not work together, from the shelters, to the rescues, to the communities. Animal rescue receives its greatest strength from individuals working together. A rescue or shelter is only as powerful as the individuals who support it. We all give a little piece to the rescue work, from individuals, to resident packs like mine pictured, to family, friends, shelter workers and rescue volunteers. If it were not for the shelter and rescue workers who saved my dogs and cats, I may have not been inspired to start rescuing so early on. Rescuing animals has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life, from the animals to the people. The animal rescue world truly is powerful because so many animals and people work together.
