Dempsey at age 9 found himself in a shelter, due to a family illness. Since he was part of the same family his whole life, this proved to be quite stressful for him, loosing 40lbs in 2 months. Due to his size, and age, he was not having any luck being adopted into a new family . Through the efforts of the shelter, a devoted and caring veterinarian, and rescue group, and eventually a woman with a passion for senior dogs, Dempsey has just had his 1 year anniversary in his new forever home. Without this group effort, as well as social media, which allows various caring people with similar passions and needs , to work together toward one goal .
