Cheddy Bear our adopted Pomeranian at the age of 17 1/2 yrs is leading Shiloh our adopted Australian Shepard, 16 yrs old and blind. Cheddy helps her navigate around the yard. They are both very proud, independent spirits. They were never really best friends but simply members in our pack. At the end of their lives they seemed to comfort each other more deeply than we as humans were able to, however much we loved and cared for them. When I see this photo, I am reminded of that undefinable but undeniably special connection they shared in those moments.
