Pet's Story
Duke was adopted as a puppy from Sterling Animal Shelter in 2011. He functioned for many years as a self appointed “therapy dog” to our Jack Russell mix Mack, adopted age 10 from another shelter years after Duke. Mack quite clearly suffered significant neglect and likely abuse in his past life. Duke gave Mack the courage to get acclimated to living in a home, enjoy life and live unafraid for nearly 8 years until Mack’s death August 1st of this year. Duke is an unsung hero at our house. He is the most intelligent, most loyal dog to ever oen us !LOL!!And though he never ever wants to be hugged or loved on, he loves our entire family deeply. Vote for Duke!
