Pet's Story
Cindy was a rescue from Tennessee who came to Cape Cod in 2016 through the efforts of Paws New England. She spent 6 months with her amazing foster Mom in Chatham. She was her #22 or 23 foster. Cindy may have been overlooked by potential adopters because she was quite overweight. But underneath the extra avoirdupois, was the sweetest, most lovable mutt on the face of the earth. She was a bit traumatized when I first got her, as she been from pillar to post before landing in Chatham. And then she had to endure another move to Dennis . She is a beagle mix who did not make a sound the first two weeks she was with me. I thought I had the world’s only silent beagle. Wrong! She found her voice, and a place to call home. And now she is an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen Comfort dog, who visits nursing homes, Alzheimers units, a camp for ill children, and schools. She is calm, sweet, and just loves the people and all the petting. It’s been quite the journey since she was found alone and wandering the streets of Tennessee, pregnant with 8 pups, and I am so proud of her.
