Pet's Story
Pete is a 7 year old (but doesn't know it) lurcher and had been with PAWS a while before he finally came to his forever home 9/14/2019. Pete had previous adoptions which didn't work out, and I am thankful every day that the good folks at PAWS never gave up on him! He is a joyful, exuberant boy who is not afraid to show you how happy he is to see you!

Pete loves the beach, long walks and playing tuggie with mom. He loves visiting his grandparents and his bestest doggie friend & his people. Pete loves to play in his yard and aspires to catch squirrels & bunnies. He is an enthusiastic cuddler and belly rub aficionado who also enjoys wearing sweaters.

Pete's not a fan of fireworks, loud thunder or crazy windstorms, but he will seek out mom or curl up in his crate when he's anxious. Pete is a passionate chewer but restricts this to his toys only!

When Pete is not supervising Mom he goes on Neighborhood Watch and keeps a running commentary on life outside the window. Pete acts as Head Letter and Package Inspector- all incoming mail and parcels get a thorough sniff test & once over as they are opened. In his role as Chief Quality Control Officer, Pete ensures cooking ingredients are acceptable, and happily makes sure plates going into the dishwasher have been "rinsed."
