Pet's Story
We adopted Harlee from a rescue in April. She was reserved, slightly timid & pretty mild mannered. We learned she lived a pretty harsh live in a barn & was used for puppies over & over, until they were done with her. Bringing her home, she had to learn how to live in the house & just be a dog. She took to our 2 kids immediately. The tv, doors, dishwasher, yelling kids, cabinets; just about everything you don’t really think about when bringing a dog home was an adjustment for us. She also did very well with that. Once investigated it was excepted. Everyday is a new adventure. It’s the most rewarding thing to experience all of her firsts as a 4 year old. When she figures something out, gallops around the yard, rolls in the dirt, snuggles on the couch... so many little things that are so big for her. I think she is pretty content now in her home. When she looks at us you can see all the appreciation & love in her eyes, but I know we are the lucky ones.
