The Panhandle Animal Welfare Society, a.k.a. PAWS, is a nonprofit dedicated to giving unwanted animals refuge, medical care, nourishment, and an opportunity for a second chance at life. We also protect them from cruelty, neglect, carelessness and ignorance. Each year, we handle more than 7,000 animals, and our animal control officers respond to more than 12,000 calls. Since 1995, our vet clinic has sterilized more than 48,000 animals.
