A little about me...
Hi, I'm Baxter! I used to live in a park in La Puente and took shelter in an overturned trash can, eating twigs and grass for the first 6 months of my life. I don’t know why someone abandoned me there with my brother. Life was challenging in the park. My brother was hit by a car there and I suddenly found myself all alone until a kind man, who shared his lunches with me every day, scooped me up and took me to his friends in Glendale.

Those friends took me into their home where I actually have my own big bed (theirs), all the dog toys I could ever want, dog treats, love and endless snuggles. I love going everywhere with my people and their friends, especially Huntington Dog Beach, which is my absolute favorite place to run, play and have fun! My people also throw me a birthday party every year with our mutual friends and dog friends and I look forward to celebrating my 10th birthday in November. I'm living proof that it's not about how you start, it's about how you finish!
