Mocha was a resident of the Palomacy Ploughshares rescue aviary in Alameda, CA. Both he and his wife Pigeot are VERY defensive of their nest bowl, and will fight you fiercely when you check for eggs. To protect their nest, pigeons will puff up as big as they can in order to look large and imposing, and blast any intruder with a nearly-unsurvivable stink-eye (as evidenced here). Mocha and Pigeot were eventually adopted!
