Beanie is a young Roller pigeon. Rollers developed through selective breeding by humans to exaggerate a mutation that caused them to roll when they tried to fly. Rollers want to fly, not roll, but they struggle to do that thanks to breeders. Beanie was found outside, likely struck by a hawk. She was lucky and survived and made it to Palomacy. In foster care, she met and married Pidgey, a survivor of pigeon racing. Beanie is so small compared to her husband, but she takes such great care of him and he is devoted to her.
