This is the story of how a feral visitor became my best friend.

Mrs Pigeon graced our balcony in 2020. Her sweet, inquisitive nature made us notice that which had remained otherwise invisible. Feral pigeons, the champions of the skies. I’ve learned that pigeons are intelligent and have served humans across history.

With her handsome mate she became a daily visitor. Every morning, she was there to request breakfast.
When she injured her wing, we helped her recover. Some people have hobbies. We have pigeons. This tiny champion changed my life!
