Benni's wonky beak is what got us started with pigeons and Benni's wonky beak is still centre stage. She likes play-fighting like in this picture, and she needs beak trims every 10-12 days so her bottom beak doesn't get too long. Benni's bottom jaw is twisted almost 90 degrees, so her beak is misaligned and cannot open far. She feeds and preens well with frequent trims and even two years into the Benni beak journey, we are still getting surprised. Recently she started picking individual seeds from between my fingers which had been too challenging before. Go Benni!
