On September 1, 2021, I found one of my beloved chickens had unexpectedly passed away. I was beyond heartbroken. She was buried, covered in flowers, by our barn. A few hours later, while walking to the barn, I saw a small black object on the ground on top my chicken's grave. I thought it was a glove but then I saw it move and realized it was a bird on the grave! She walked up to me and waited for me to pick her up. I decided to name her Aldora which is Greek for “winged gift from God.”
