Pidgy is a survivor of the cruel "sport" of pigeon "racing". Released far from their loft (sometimes hundreds of miles), these birds are not racing; they are desperately trying to get home. Those unlucky enough to lose their way have only days or hours to survive. If they are lucky, a Good Samaritan will happen across them and reach out to Palomacy. That is what happened to Pidgy, rescued by Nazgol and brought to MCFB for surgery. He lost the use of his left leg but is content to loaf and be adorable. We love him.
