Lu(shortened from his shelter name, Lumiere), is a one year old king pigeon who has been living with me for three months with his wife Plume. He is believed to have escaped slaughter at six weeks old in Chicago. Lu is very strong and protective of his wife and nest but is also a big scaredy-bird. He’s very smart! He knows everything he’s supposed to do but thinks it’s fun to rebel now and then, driving me nuts! Here he is trying to avoid having to wear his pants.
