Bird(s)' Story
At dusk one early summer evening, my 7-yr-old daughter found a shivering, baby bird near a shrub in a Kansas City downtown park, with no birds or nest nearby. I had no idea what it was, but I knew I was supposed to call a wildlife rehabilitation group. When they could not take her, we chose to save her. Researching on the internet, we guessed she was a pigeon. We hand-fed her from a syringe. She grew into a beautiful bird who loves to be around us, perching on our hands, shoulders, and heads. We love her dearly!
