Pomme de Terre (Pomme for short) is a former racing homer who was found wandering in a train station, narrowly dodging buses as they drove through to drop people off. He was unable to fly due to hunger and dehydration (and his inability to find food and water). Scared at first, Pomme is now the most affectionate bird who wants nothing more than to be held. He’s so loved by his family—which includes a rescued white German shepherd dog named Kasper and a rescued white homing pigeon named Nova.
