Pet's Bio
Chief Inspector Jusky McFreckles, shown here at roll call, was recently promoted to a senior rank following a brief but nearly fatal term in a New York City shelter. Abandoned there after spending his entire 11 years in the same precinct, he luckily avoided death when PAL leapt to his rescue.

Grateful for a second chance, C.I. McFreckles has pledged the remainder of his career to helping PAL rescue other dogs.

Now serving proudly as a senior PAL foster, he has become as famous for his extraordinarily keen nose as for his multi-colored spots (called freckles in K-9 jargon). While on duty, he thoroughly investigates dirty dishes, grocery and garbage bags, shoes, neighbors, and anything happening in the kitchen. Even in his off-duty hours, Jusky enjoys tracking all insects, moving and deceased, found within his jurisdiction. He has a nearly perfect capture rate.

Beloved by his subordinates for his playful nature, and easily recognized by his black trousers and white socks, the chief inspector has nonetheless been known to confiscate his foster brother’s stuffies without a warrant. He would do anything for a Kong filled with Cheez Whiz or a piece of watermelon. Highly disciplined when he has a strong motive, he is capable of holding a sit-stay in front of his dinner bowl for a slow count to 20.

He is widely known as affectionate, loyal to an extreme and, due mostly to his Husky ancestry, is also a terrific conversationalist.
