Sir Chester Wigglebottom, shown here while relaxing at his country estate, is the perfect gentleman. Reserved and dignified, he eschews dog parks, boarding kennels, and other barky, butt-sniffy places in favor of quiet moments at home with family and a few, discreet friends.

When he isn’t managing his vast collection of stuffies or taking leisurely strolls alongside his foster brother, Sir Chester is on safari. An expert hunter, he spends long hours tracking squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, the neighbor’s cat Buttercup, and other exotic game.

He was once a reckless adventurer. A good Samaritan found him a few years ago deep in the wilderness of upstate New York, emaciated, riddled with parasites, and near death. He was soon rescued by PAL, luckily, and nursed back to health by his beloved foster mom, Samantha. He found his forever home in 2016.

Now 10 years old, Sir Chester has mellowed and developed nearly perfect manners. His past remains a mystery, his days as a bon vivant and explorer behind him. Instead, his recent good works earned him a title and manorial rights to the Barony of Wigglebottom. As a celebrity spokesman for the Pet Adoption League of New York, which once saved his life, the normally reclusive Sir Chester happily steps into the public limelight to enter this photo contest each year and help raise money for his favorite organization.

Indeed, in a recent public statement, he expressed his enormous and unending gratitude to PAL: “Woof!” he said. "Woof, woof, woof."
