Your Pet's Story or Bio
Reggie was approximately five years old when he joined my cat Harpo and myself at our small home in Indiana located just above the Ohio River across from Louisville, Kentucky. Rumor has it that his former household was unable to care for both an aging parent and a beloved pet. He was dropped off at a questionable shelter, where he was quickly rescued by a volunteer group. A former teacher greeted me as I went to meet Reg for the first time. "I know dogs, and this is a special dog," she said. Her husband already had an application in on adopting Reg in case I was a no show. That was five years ago. As I type this, Reg is snuggled up to me on the couch. He's my best friend and has taught me much about patience, loyalty and living in the moment. How lucky am I?
