Your Cat's Story or Bio
I adopted Skittles from a farm outside Manotick on June 10, 2005. He had three siblings and his mother had been hit by a car on River Road so the kittens had been hand fed. Skittles lived with me at my apartment in downtown Ottawa with my other cat Poley and Rory who was adopted a year later. In 2009, my cats moved out to North Gower with me and got to experience some of the outdoors. Skittles loved to follow me around the garden when I was harvesting veggies. He was definitely my shadow. He never liked being picked up but he loved pets and just being nearby. Skittles passed away on October 2, 2016 at 11 yrs old from what was likely cancer (never confirmed). He died in my arms on the way to the vet, less than 5km from where he had been born.
