Gru was rescued with his litter mates from the rough and tumble streets of Fresno, CA. He was placed in a foster home in Portland, where he was given his name by a 6 year-old Despicable Me fan. A short time later, a friend of the foster family stopped by just to see the pups, smell their breath, and experience their joy. Well, the love grew, the name stuck, and soon thereafter Gru had his forever home. Who knew this little white-footed ball of fur would grow into such a tall, dark, and handsome, yet goofy, 85-pound boy.
