Halo's person passed away, and the family was unable to take this older 5 pound Chihuahua in. As a neighbor I was asked, and just lost my dog Dottie several months before. Halo was introduced to my cat Casanova, my 20 pound Maine Coon mix, and as Cas was mourning Dottie, he took in Halo and loved her. She thrived and blossomed till she passed two years later from cancer. Lesson learned - we must open our hearts and homes to animals who have lost their people.
