Entering the Contest

This contest is open to any pet dog or cat.
The minimum donation for entering a submission is $10 per photo. You may enter as many photos as you want. One pet per photo.
All entries are required to list the name of the pet pictured in the photo, along with their 'campaign slogan' (25 words or less) describing why your pet should be Tailwagger in Chief! No 'real' political talk, please. Let's keep this fun and light!
Digital photos are required. Photos must be clear, of good quality and high resolution and submitted via the contest website submission form. We recommend that you upload photos from your phone or camera at ORIGINAL SIZE for high resolution.
All photos must be submitted online.
Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery and will be open to voting by the public.
People are not allowed in your photo.
You must enter each pet separately to be considered for the contest.
The same pet can be entered into the contest multiple times, but votes will not be combined across multiple entries of the same pet. Each photo earns votes separately.
Pets must be depicted in a safe environment setting in all entries.
Photos must either feature pets owned by the entrant, OR the entrant must have permission from the pet's owner to submit their pet's image.
We cannot accept copyrighted professional photos or any photos that have been digitally manipulated or altered other than basic cropping and color adjustment.
Once entered, photos become the property of Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals and may be used for online, print, and marketing purposes.
We reserve the right to decline publication of any photography for any reason.

Miscellaneous Info

Entries may be submitted from 12:00:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Monday, August 5, 2024 until 11:59:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
Donations are non-refundable and fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All entrants will receive email receipts for their contributions.
By participating in this contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals and each of their officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize.
The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

Online Voting

Voting by the general public is available for a $1 donation per vote.
We encourage you to email and share the contest link to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your entry.
Persons may submit as many votes for as many photos as they wish.
All votes will be periodically tabulated and displayed on the contest website. There may be a temporary delay in displaying the most recent tabulations.
Voting begins at 12:00:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Monday, August 5, 2024 until 11:59:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Thursday, October 31, 2024.*
All votes received before 11:59:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Thursday, October 31, 2024 will be honored. The leaderboard results are official.

*The ending time for online voting will be solely determined by the host website's server. Keep in mind that your clock may differ from the clock that determines the ending time, depending on your time zone.
