Open Door Animal Sanctuary is a no-kill shelter dedicated to preserving the life and health of homeless cats and dogs, providing shelter, food and veterinary care while fostering their social skills and encouraging their adoption into loving homes.
What we do:- Take in approximately 1,500 cats and dogs each year and provide shelter, food, medical care and most of all LOVE to these animals until we can place them in forever homes.
- Offer a low-cost spay/neuter program for low income individuals in our community.
- Distribute dog and cat food once per month to low income pet owners who apply and qualify for our free pet food distribution service.
- Run a trap/neuter/release (TNR) program to help end feral cat reproduction and reduce the number of cats entering local shelters.
