The contest will begin on August 1, 2016 and end at 5:00 p.m. on September 15, 2016.
- Those entering our contest must be affiliated with a Chamber member business and be 21 years of age or older. Owners, employees, full-time, part-time and seasonal staff can participate. There is no charge to submit a photo and Chamber staff is happy to scan photos for those needing assistance.
- Photos must be reasonably clear and in-focus and in good taste for a family oriented audience.
- Photos with red eyes or glowing eyes will not be accepted.
- Photos may be color, black and white, or sepia toned.
- Please do not submit photos which are copyrighted by a professional photography. These will be allowed only with a signed release. Permission for the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce and sponsor CMIT Solutions of Currituck to use photos to promote the contest before, during and after the event is required.
- Photo submissions must include:
- Name of Individual
- Job Title
- Chamber Member Business Affiliated With
- Email Address
- City, State
- If you are competing for a cause (remember one winner will receive half of the money they raise for their charity of choice)
- Photos accepted will be from birth through 6th grade. Submit your cutest “young” professional photo.
- Please limit entries to one per person. Multiple entries from a business are permitted.
- The Outer Banks Chamber has final approval on all photos submitted and the right to reject any entry due to quality or appropriateness.
- The Outer Banks Chamber reserves the right to crop, resize, or edit a photo if necessary and to use photos in press releases and marketing materials to promote the contest.
- Each vote is $1 and proceeds will benefit the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit business membership organization.

TIPS:
- Remember the contest is open to other chamber members and the general public. Sharing your photo using social media and asking others to vote for you is key.
- Easy on the Photoshop - we're all for a little touch-up, but don't overdo it!
- Lighting is crucial - a dimly lit or washed out photograph will fade away on-line.
- This is a friendly competition! No negative comments about other entries or poor losers will be tolerated!
