Prizes

• The winners of the photo contest are determined by the top 12 entrants that receive the most votes. 
• The top winner will win a pet of the month and the coveted cover photo for the 2024 calendar! 2nd - 12th place winners will have their pet featured as a pet of the month.
• The top 12 vote earners will have their pet professionally photographed by Denise Duriga Photography for the 2024 calendar. *
• All winners will have the opportunity to purchase products and images following their session, if desired. 
• Calendars are available to the public as separate purchases. They will be available to purchase late September 2023 from the photographer's website.
• In the event of a tie at the conclusion of the contest, the tie is broken based on the order of the leaderboard. When a participant has the same number of votes as another, the systems places the participant in order they initially entered the competition. Thus the participant who entered the competition first is placed in front of the other participant with the same number of votes. 

*If your pet is one of the 12 to be photographed for the calendar, you must be able to bring your pet to Denise Duriga Photography at a pre-selected location in Northwest Indiana area on June 3rd, 10th, or 25th for a professional on location photo session. In case of inclement weather, a new date will be selected. For Illinois winners located north of Interstate 290, a location in your area will be chosen. The date will be determined at a later time and based on the number of winners in this area. If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to these pre-selected locations, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote getter will take your pet's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.

During mini-contest weeks, the one pet who receives the highest number of new votes for a particular week will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating businesses. In the event of a tie for that week's most votes or if there are no new votes for that week, a random computerized drawing will be held for all eligible pets. Participants can only win one mini-contest prize. 

Mini-contests will be held during weeks 2 through 6. Contest announcements will be made on social media.
