Meet Bite D. Eisenhowler23 and Brock22. Of course we didn’t keep Bite’s name, even though he was quite an ornery stray when he came into the rescue as an 11 year old deaf and going blind chow mix. Since his new owner served in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower, a fitting name became Ike. It was obvious Ike had a tough life as a stray but he has really become a great little guy after learning to trust others again. Brock is a 5 year old lovable Golden who is often found sleeping on his back. He is susceptible to hot spots and has spent quite a bit of time in a cone, but thankfully we have gotten it under control. Both boys marched in the Raleigh St Patrick’s Day Parade this year with their NRGRR buddy Clair (Allie16), who can be seen in the background.
