This is lovable Hazel Hope on her first day at my house. Look closely and you can see her smile! She came to NRGRR (Dane Fonda23) as an “owner surrender” for “separation anxiety”. She no longer has separation anxiety; has made herself a track around the back yard for her zoomies; and brings me incredible joy and happiness. She came at just the right time and hopefully we will be companions for years.

Having just been through an exceptionally difficult year, losing three people very close to me, and “Nazli21”, a lab from Turkey that I had adopted less than a year prior, I did not think I was ready for another, but when she popped up needing a foster, it was love at first sight!

I adopted goldens in 2008 and 2011, Nazli in 2021, and Hazel Hope (golden doodle) in 2023. I “permanent fostered” 3 other dogs with health issues through their last days. NRGRR is a wonderful organization close to my heart.
