The reason this picture is special; my stepson Scott is special needs. And Sadie knows he is different, and protects him constantly. From day one when she met him. When he visits she sleeps in his doorway when he is sleeping. And always stays close by him. When walking her, we give Scott the leash, and she walks Scott. She forgets all her fears (storm drains :) when she is in charge of Scott. And shows him the way. It is the sweetest thing I have ever seen. And she is exhausted when he leaves, because she had a responsibility when he was here in her mind. My rescue Sadie is such a smart, loving, therapy dog without training, just pure instinct. And he loves her as you can see.
