I had adopted from NMAR before, so when my dog died, I contacted NMAR and said I needed a small, male, black-brown-white, not-puppy. Three days later I got an email with a picture of a dog and the subject line: We found your dog. NMAR rescued 3 dogs about to be put down, and one became the love of my life: James Douglas, nicknamed Jamie. NMAR and I knew that this dog was destined to be found and live with me. He's my friend and protector...at all of 16 pounds!
