I adopted Poppy, aka “Marilyn” from the NLF adoption center the week before Thanksgiving. She weighed 2#13 oz on her intake date, 9/17/18, and as it turns out, she’s originally from Bakersfield, just like me. She’s a playful instigator who lets me know when her bowl of crunchies is only half full. She chirps, chatters and meows while following me from bed to bath to kitchen until it’s refreshed. Now, she’s a healthy active 13 pounder who leaps onto my chest every morning and peppers my arms with kitty kisses until I agree to get up!
