Whoopie (alias, Lightning) was so skittish when I first met her, that I didn't think she would come home with me. Once I met "Thunder", the cat to whom she is bonded, I couldn't resist. He was so charming that I had to have him. It was both or none, and they had been at Nine Lives for three years, already. Thunder became Sylvester (Sly), and after both spending the first week in the guest bedroom, she came out from under the bed, and Sly ventured into the back yard. He continues to be charming, and she has become so comfortable that she has become a busybody. She remembers to tell me their exact feeding time, and when he wants to be let in. She also does a great job of earning her keep!
