Pippa
There is only one word that comes to me and most people who meet her, “AMAZING!”.
Pippa came to me when she was a few months old as a kitten with ringworm. I had her and a few others. When she went in for her foster check up, Dr. R said she was concerned about her eyes. We kept watch over them for a few months after she cleared RW. Her eyes got worse and Pippa was diagnose as having Glaucoma. Dr. R said she was in pain so her eyes were removed.
About 5 months ago, I allowed her free range of the house and the outdoors. I was concerned she would have some issue with the stairs, but oh no she goes up and down the stairs with no fear. She loves the back yard and prefers to be out there all day.
What is so amazing about her is how she chases the other cats in the yard and in the house. How does she know they are there? It seems so strange to see her streaking across the yard or the living room chasing Jose or Bonito, her main targets. Pippa climbs up and down the tall cat trees, fearlessly. She plays with toy balls and springs just like all the rest of the cats in the house. Pippa is very determined and demands attention when she wants it. Unless you saw her, you would never know she is blind. AMAZING!
