Who can participate?

Anyone who has spent any length of time in the NICU may be entered in the photo contest.
All full-term and premature NICU grads are welcome to enter.

Can I enter my twins?

Multiple births such as twins, triplets, quadruplets, etc., are welcome to submit an entry together or separately.

How will winners be determined?

Grand Prize Winner (1) - The Then & Now photo entry with the largest number of votes across class categories of ‘25 - '07 at the end of the contest will be the grand prize winner.
Category Class of '25 - '07 Prize Winner (6) - The Then & Now photo entry with the largest number of votes at the end of the contest from each of the categories will be the category prize winner.
Runner-Up Class of '25 - '07 Prize Winner (6) - The Then & Now photo entry with the second-largest number of votes at the end of the contest from each of the categories will be the runner-up category prize winner.
1st Place in the Class of '06 & Earlier: Adult Grads (1) - The Then & Now photo entry with the largest number of votes at the end of the contest from the Class of '05 & Earlier will be the category prize winner.
Runner-Up in the Class of '06 & Earlier: Adult Grads (1) - The Then & Now photo entry with the second-largest number of votes at the end of the contest will be the runner-up Class of '05 & Earlier category prize winner.

How will winners be announced?

The winners of each category will be notified via email. You can also check the leaderboard to see how your entry photo is doing in the contest.

When does the contest end?

All photo entries must be submitted and voting completed by 10:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

How are votes counted?

Every $1 donation counts as one vote. 100% of proceeds directly support NICU families.

When will I get my tax receipt?

Participants receive a transactional email that acknowledges their donation. Please consider this letter receipt of your tax-deductible donation. No goods or services were provided in exchange for this donation. Hand to Hold is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. EIN: 27-3802900.

Are there limitations on where yearbooks may be shipped?

Do I have to be in the contest to be in the yearbook?

Purchasing a 1/4 or 1/8 yearbook ad will place you in the yearbook, but does not automatically enter you in the contest. If you are entered in the contest, you have a chance to win a full page or 1/2 page spot and/or the cover placement as a prize. If you are entered in the contest, you can also get a free “class photo” placed in the yearbook if you raise $50 or more.
