NICU Hospital for my journeyOakBend Medical Center - Williams Way Hospital Campus
My NICU Graduate's JourneyElijah was born via CSection on 6/24/23 at 37 weeks because of low amniotic fluid. I was in labor for 2 days prior to his birth. When he came out, he had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck twice & could barely breathe or cry. I briefly got to see him out of the side of my eye before he was rushed into NICU & put on oxygen. My precious baby had to remain in NICU until 6/27/23 when we could bring him home. He recovered quickly & is now 10months & thriving!
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?Elijah is a strong & healthy baby. My pregnancy was considered high risk because I was 35 & I have high blood pressure & take medications. My pregnancy was one of the happiest times of my life, though, & whenever my precious baby entered the world, my life was forever changed for the better. Elijah is full of joy & always pushes through any obstacle to do the best that he can do! He had to see a physical therapist because he was a bit behind on sitting up on his own & crawling; yet after one session, 2 weeks later he is sitting up on his own & just started crawling all over the place! He is such a joy & I am so proud of him!
