My NICU Graduate's Journey
Corran burst into the world five weeks early, weighing 5 lbs 2 oz with a thunderous cry! He spent 22 days in the NICU, starting with a CPAP, feeding tube, and a round of steroids. He impressed everyone by steadily gaining weight and even learning how to latch before he graduated. Corran may have came into the world screaming, but he was known around the NICU as a calm and quiet boy who rarely fussed. Corran still has some elevated hormone levels and has regular lab work done to monitor his health, but overall he is thriving.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Corran has worked hard to gain weight (11 lbs as of mid-May) and barely complains when getting his regular blood draws. He continues to impress and amaze us with his ability to sleep through just about anything and just generally being in a good mood. We are so proud of our little boy for growing big and strong!
