My NICU Graduate's Journey
My due date was slated for July 4, 2022. We had picked our baby girl's name out and awaited her arrival. However, I was the unlucky 2% of women who get preeclampsia with your second child if you didn't have it with your first. So diagnosed with that at 33 weeks we prepared for a May birthdate. Lily Ann was born at 34 weeks on May 24th. The most beautiful part is Lily's name is Lily Ann Mae (with the unbeknownst nod to being born in May) AND the birth flower for May is Lilies. How beautiful! And reminds me consistently she was right on time, despite her early arrival and NICU stay. She is now a thriving, sassy, beautiful 2 year old little girl.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
Lily has consistently reminded us that she will grow and develop in her own timing. She will not be compared to other kids and is paving her own path. She is funny and a fiery red head and we couldn't be more in love!
