My NICU Graduate's Journey
Oliver was born at exactly 28 weeks gestation. Life in the NICU is nothing but a rollercoaster. He spent a few weeks in the isolette gaining weight and gaining strength. There were a few bumps in the road that seemed to be set backs. He had to depend on oxygen for a while until his lungs developed more. It really took a whole village to help him. From the NICU nurses, physical therapy, lactation consultants, doctors, nurse practitioners, and volunteers he was able to be discharged after 63 days in the NICU. Now he is a strong happy 1 year old who loves spending time outside.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
What makes me proud of my NICU graduate is how strong and resilient he is. In my eyes, he is the strongest little boy I know.
