NICU Hospital for my journeySt. Francis Hospital
My NICU Graduate's JourneyHudson was born 3 1/2 weeks early via c-section because of some complications I was having. He was born and needed oxygen immediately. He had fluid on his lungs and needed monitoring on a few things. It’s very hard not to get to be with your baby and hold them right after birth. Once I could walk which didn’t take long, I went to see him every 2 hours. It took a few days for him to be bottle fed and I went each time they fed to be with him. He recovered and was better and it seemed like a miracle. We were so happy to take him home. Today he is thriving! He is such a joy to our lives.
What makes you proud of you NICU graduate? He is so resilient. He has a calm and happy disposition. He crawls and pushes his walker through our house exploring everything. He makes everyone smile. He is proof that God gives us good and beautiful gifts.
