My NICU Graduate's Journey
Leo was born prematurely, he weight 2Lbs 7oz, On a MRI they found out he had a brain bleed, a severe one because of his prematurity & was right away diagnosed with cerebral palsy. All the specialists sat us down & explained what that would mean for Leo however we left it in gods hands & enjoyed our baby & didn’t focus on his diagnosis only. Overall Leo had little to no complications in the NICU & his nurse was so sweet she made him a NICU grad little onesie.

What makes you proud of you NICU graduate?
I love that as a baby he was always smiling & happy & till this day he is a happy clever & funny kid regardless of the challenges that he faces. He makes me proud on a regular basis, we are working on taking steps in physical therapy, I know in my heart he will walk on his own one day, but for now we are just enjoying every day that god gives us to be together.
